Bandit Trap is a wild and chaotic 3v1 online multiplayer game from Dutch developer PICOMY. The game has officially entered public beta — here’s what you need to know.
On March 20th, during the Future Games Show Spring Showcase, the game’s public beta was announced. A new trailer also dropped, giving a fun preview of what the gameplay looks like. Don’t worry — you can watch the trailer right here below.
What is Bandit Trap?
Bandit Trap is a 3-versus-1 multiplayer game where three bandits face off against one player as the trapper. The trapper defends their home using a variety of clever traps, while the bandits aim to steal hidden treasures and avoid getting caught. Every level is fully destructible — you can break through walls, flood areas, freeze rooms, and more. These environmental tools can open up new paths or slow down your enemies.
The trapper has access to tons of creative, modular traps — from classic bear traps to high-tech gear like snapping walls and launch pads that throw players across the room. Meanwhile, the bandits can use the environment — platforms, pipes, and tunnels — to hide or pull off sneak attacks. With so many tools and mechanics in play, no match ever feels the same, and you can keep playing without it getting dull or repetitive.
How to Join the Public Beta
As mentioned, the Bandit Trap public beta is now live. If you want to join, just head over to the Bandit Trap Steam page. From there, you can request beta access. After a short wait, you should receive an email and be ready to jump in. Make sure to invite your friends too — the game is even more fun with a crew. Plus, by joining now, you’ll get an exclusive bonus reward: the “Crash Test Outfit.” It’ll unlock for both roles once the game officially launches. However, there’s still no confirmed release date just yet.
