Kirby and the Forgotten Land è in uscita su Nintendo Switch e segna il primo titolo 3D del franchise.
Kirby, la palla rosa di HAL e Nintendo, è tornato, e per la prima volta nella storia del suo franchise, in un platform 3D.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land presenta un’avventura tutta nuova in cui Kirby esplora un mondo misterioso pieno di strutture abbandonate lasciate da una civiltà passata. In questo mondo ci sono un sacco di cattivi, e bisogna sconfiggere loro e i potenti boss per liberare i Waddle Dees rapiti.
Ogni volta che i Waddle Dees vengono salvati con successo, sarai in grado di sbloccare negozi ed evolvere le abilità delle copie, oltre a far crescere la tua base.
Kirby and the Forgotten Land è ambientato in una mappa 3D che Kirby può esplorare. E per aiutarlo a raggiungere il suo obiettivo in ogni livello, gli sviluppatori hanno aggiunto una nuova modalità chiamata Mouthful Mode. Questo permette a Kirby di “inalare oggetti del mondo reale” e poi prenderne la forma.
Per esempio, Kirby può inalare un distributore automatico e poi sparare fuori i prodotti in scatola per attaccare i nemici. Oppure può inghiottire una macchina e guadagnare ruote che potrebbero aiutarlo a muoversi più velocemente o a sbattere contro i muri.
Non solo Kirby può inalare oggetti. In Kirby and the Forgotten Land, può anche inalare alcuni nemici e copiare le loro abilità. Queste abilità possono anche evolversi in altre ancora più potenti.
Il gioco sfrutta anche le caratteristiche di Nintendo Switch, poiché permette anche a un altro giocatore di giocare in co-op locale utilizzando il controller Joy-Con™. Il giocatore 2 impersonerà Bandana Waddle Dee.
